Hank, Paint Gelding
Hank, a registered paint gelding was raised by the Tylers . He is strong and kind and has excellent movement and strength for heavier riders. He and Hann were donated by Kimberly Tyler McCauley.
Tank
Tank the Halflinger
Tank the Halflinger is the go to horse for WTRRA programs. He can do it all. Tank pulls a cart, excels at ground driving, obstacles, trail and carrying riders needed more support.
Hanna
Hanna, Paint Mare
Hanna is a young registered paint mare was bred and raised in the Lemhi Valley. She and her companion Hank, were trained by the Tyler family of Leadore. Hanna is versatile and willing to learn the new expectations as a therapeutic and recreational riding horse.
Chika
Chika, Quarterhorse Mare
Chicka is the queen of the equine herd and the participants. She is small and very willing to stand quietly while being groomed by children and elderly or as a wheelchair user enjoys her touch and smell.
Skeeter
Skeeter, Quarterhorse Gelding
Skeeter a gelding, was donated by an outfitter business. In his prior career he travelled many mountain trails but has adapted to his new life with patience and strength.
Jasper
Jasper
Jasper was first donated to WTRRA by Cyndi Lafourcade. He is now homed by Michale Kossler. He is used in 4-H and a favorite of the veterans.
Ginger
Ginger
Ginger is the youngster on the equine team. A transport from California and donated by Emily White, Ginger is beautiful, gentle and YOUNG. We look forward to many years with her.
Bailey
Bailey, Paint Gelding
Bailey is a paint gelding adapted easily from his life as a mountain horse to a life of arena, parades and horse shows.
Piper
Piper
A 12 year old grade mare; is new to the adaptive riding experience and is not yet used regularly in programs. She will spend some of the summer on the range with Melanie before integrated into the program.
Dewey
Dewey
A 9 year old quarter horse was donated to WTRRA by Cheryl Spoehr . Dewey has impressive breeding and has done it all. Ranch work, trail horse and ridden Western or English. Dewey is ridden by Veterans as well as in youth programs.

The miniatures of the team travel in the van to the nursing homes, schools and public events.
Paco
Paco, a Miniature
Paco has a huge heart and perhaps a bit of an attitude. Paco was in a rescue situation, was adopted and cared. Several years later he was donate to WTRRA. Paco travels comfortably in the van to make nursing home and preschool visits.

The miniatures of the team travel in the van to the nursing homes, schools and public events. Manny enjoys the attention while Lady prefers her independence

Ben, Morgan Gelding
Ben is one of the sweetest boys in the world. He brings years of training to the Whitewater family. He is a favorite among riders, with his laid back personality, but he is always ready to trot! His kind heart and willingness to work makes him a staple in whitewater programming!
Big Al
Big Al, Haflinger Gelding
Big Al isn’t very big at all in stature but he certainly makes up for that in heart. He absolutely loves pulling the cart to give anyone and everyone a ride, and is working on getting his riding skills up to par so he can share in those activities as well.

Cool, calm and collected is Rodger’s motto. When we have a rider that needs confidence in independence Jasper is the go to guy! Rodger loves to show off all of his skills from his extensive experience in the show ring! His sweet personality makes him a rider favorite!

Rooster brings years and years of experience with all kinds of situations so we look forward every day to him being able to share all that knowledge with us! A favorite among the ladies. Rooster has quickly become a mainstay of WTRRA programs and is another priceless gem.

Donated Cliff and Dottie Shaw, is the the old man of the team. He is a favorite of the Veterans and adults with disabilities.

What is Therapeutic Riding?
Therapeutic Riding or Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT) provide benefits in the areas of therapy, education, sport, recreation and leisure. EAAT provides a broad spectrum of programs and interventions with a trained horse and certified instructor or therapist to teach horsemanship skills and address cognitive, emotional, social and/or behavioral skills. In addition, many individuals challenged by physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy, down syndrome, multiple sclerosis, paralysis, stroke and traumatic brain injury can benefit from EAAT. Therapeutic Riding centers also serves those with autism, attention deficit disorder, anxiety and depression. Many centers offer targeted programs for at-risk youth, veterans and military personnel and the elderly.
